Welcome to the New Year 2026
Happy New Year and Well Wishes from the St. John Fisher Clergy, Staff and Parish Council
As we bid farewell to 2025, we are grateful for all the efforts that went into building, sustaining and enhancing our St. John Fisher Parish Family – from joyful social activities, to faith formation for all ages, to a multitude of service and outreach opportunities supporting our neighbors in Christ, to a farewell to Father Al and a warm welcome to Father George, to grounding Lenten and Advent experiences, to glorious Easter and Christmas celebrations, to church building enhancements and our greatest gift, of celebrating Mass and receiving Jesus in the Eucharist. It was a wonderful and blessed year.
Our prayers continued for our parishioners, those who are challenged with health issues, those loved ones who passed, our community, our nation and our world. With hearts and intentions raised up, we continue to ask our dear Lord for protection, guidance and intervention – all the while, praising our loving, forgiving, all-powerful and all-gracious God.
As we welcome this new year, we introduce our 2026 Parish Theme – Pillars of Our Faith. Our Advent/Christmas parish gift book of The Seven Pillars of Catholic Spirituality will start us off with a book review/discussion in February. We will then continue throughout the year with various learning opportunities, life-long faith formation efforts and offering various ways to act on the various “pillars of our faith”.
May this new year encourage us to reach out and continue to grow in our faith as we explore our individual definitions of being “Pillars of Faith” for our families, our parish, our community, our nation and our world. May you all have a most blessed new year ahead!
