Praying the Rosary is a traditional Catholic prayer that combines repeated vocal prayers with meditation on key events in the life of Jesus and Mary (called mysteries). Using a string of beads, the person moves through prayers like the Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be, while reflecting on one mystery at a time—such as the Nativity, Crucifixion, or Resurrection.
In short, it’s a rhythmic, meditative prayer meant to draw the person closer to Christ through Mary’s perspective.

In Catholic tradition, Adoration of the Eucharist (often just called Eucharistic Adoration) is a form of prayer where we worship Jesus Christ present in the Eucharist—the consecrated bread (the Host), which we believe is truly the Body of Christ.

Men's Retreat
Pilgrims of Hope ~ Men's Retreat ~ April 10-12, 2026
Holy Family Retreat Team
Faith is a journey! We can never know exactly where it will take us, but we are intentional about the trek, and we have hope that it will lead us to something good.
Last year, just months before his passing, Pope Francis called for a jubilee year, and he announced the theme would be “Pilgrims of Hope.” The Holy Father stated: “Faith is a pilgrimage, and we on this Earth are pilgrims, not tourists or wanderers: we are pilgrims!”
During our weekend retreat, we will explore the many dimensions of hope, which is a theological virtue given to us as a gift from God. While hope can be difficult to explain, we know when we have it, and we never want to lose it! We will explore hope in the context of a journey – a sacred pilgrimage with God.
We invite you to join us this year at Holy Family as we celebrate our 75th Anniversary of retreat ministry. Together, as part of God’s beloved creation, we can find that blessed goal, life with God as beloved companions and pilgrims of hope.
Each of our themed retreats begins with a buffet dinner from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday evening and concludes Sunday with the celebration of Mass at 10:45 a.m. followed by a hot brunch at noon. Families of retreatents are most welcome to attend the Sunday Mass and brunch at no extra charge.
