Rite of Election and Call to Continuing Conversion

O.C.I.A.  (The ORDER of CHRISTIAN INITIATION for ADULTS The OCIA candidates of St. John Fisher Church first stood before our faith community on Advent Sunday and during the Rite of Acceptance declared their desire and willingness to continue their studies of the Faith.  On 2/22/2026, the 1st Sunday of Lent, we celebrated the Rite of Sending during which their sponsors confirmed the readiness to begin final preparations for receipt of the Sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Eucharist and WE, as a parish, accepted their efforts and WE sent them to be received and blessed by Archbishop Coyne where the Rite of Election and Call to Continuing Conversion was celebrated. And now, throughout the Lenten Season, Cori and Chuck will focus on deepening their faith and their understanding of the perfection of Jesus Christ in whom we all partake through His true presence in the Holy Eucharist. Their spiritual enlightenment will conclude during the Easter Vigil mass when they receive the remaining Sacraments of Initiation, and they will be welcomed into full communion with the Church.  All praise to God.
