Note From Father Carlos ~ Eucharistic Hope

In my spare time, sometimes I write poetry. Today, I’m pleased to

share this poem, which is a meditation, with you all.

Eucharistic Hope

Surrounded by lights and candles,
in silence, you stay there,
Omnipotence, God Creator,
Redeemer, on your arms
humanity you bear.
Besides you, all agitation and
anxiety disappear.

You are the Prince of Peace.
With you, and from you, wisdom and bliss.
To you, the nebulas and constellations
render worship, homage, and adoration.
The poor and the forgotten,

in silent prayer, sometimes with tears,
as they pray, and hope, and sigh, come near
you, the source of all that is good.
Yours is the Bread, the Blood,
the Covenant, by your faithful love begotten.

To you come the crushed souls of this world.
In you they find their sole hope and faith.
For them, who are content with the last crumble of love,
you promise health, healing, and life.

When the priest lifted you up
(while he said Mass), he saw, in you, at once,
all wisdom, glory, peace, and happiness.

In silence, he recited: Heavens, the Kingdom here,
eternal peace, God’s tenderness!
