Father George

We are pleased to share that Father George has been appointed Vice-Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Hartford. In this role, he will work closely with the Chancellor, Fr. Chris Ford, assisting in the important administrative and canonical responsibilities of the Archdiocese.

According to the Code of Canon Law (cc. 482-491), the Chancellor is the principal official responsible for ensuring that the acts of the diocesan curia are properly prepared, recorded, and preserved in the diocesan archives. The Chancellor also authenticates official documents and safeguards the integrity of ecclesiastical records. The Vice-Chancellor assists in these duties and may act in the Chancellor’s stead when needed.
