EASTER MESSAGE 2026
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Christ is Risen! He is truly Risen! Alleluia!
With great joy, I extend to each of you and your families my heartfelt Easter greetings. After our Lenten journey of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, we arrive at the radiant celebration of the Resurrection-the victory of life over death, of light over darkness, and of hope over despair.
Easter is not simply a remembrance of an event long past; it is the living reality of Christ among us today. The empty tomb proclaims that no suffering, no sin, and no burden we carry has the final word. In rising from the dead, the Lord Jesus opens for us a new horizon-a life renewed in grace, strengthened in faith, and anchored in hope.
As a parish community here at St. John Fisher, we are called to be witnesses of this Resurrection in our daily lives. In our homes, workplaces, and neighborhoods in Marlborough and beyond, may we reflect the joy of the Gospel. Let us be people who bring peace where there is division, compassion where there is hurt, and faith where there is uncertainty.
I wish to express my deep gratitude to all who have helped make our Lenten and Easter celebrations so meaningful-our liturgy committee, musicians, volunteers, and all who contribute in so many ways. Your dedication is a beautiful sign of the living Church.
As we celebrate this holy season, I invite each of you to renew your commitment to Christ and to one another. Let us continue to build a parish that is welcoming, prayerful, and rooted in the love of the Risen Lord.
May the joy of Easter fill your hearts, strengthen your faith, and remain with you throughout the year.
With every blessing in the Risen Christ,
Father George Mukuka,
Pastor Saint John Fisher Parish
