November 14 & 15, 2026

The weekend of November 14 and 15, our parish will take up a second collection to support the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD). Established by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in 1970, CCHD is the Church’s national anti-poverty program, dedicated to helping individuals and families overcome poverty and build better lives. Unlike programs that primarily provide immediate assistance, CCHD focuses on addressing the underlying causes of poverty by supporting community organizations that promote affordable housing, employment opportunities, education, and economic independence. Its mission is rooted in Catholic social teaching and the belief that every person deserves dignity, opportunity, and the ability to participate fully in society.

Through the generosity of Catholics across the country, CCHD provides grants to organizations that empower people experiencing poverty to become active participants in improving their own lives and communities. Twenty-five percent of the funds collected remain within the local diocese to support community initiatives, while the remaining funds support anti-poverty efforts nationwide. Your contribution to this second collection is an opportunity to put our faith into action, offering hope, encouragement, and lasting opportunities to those facing economic hardship. Please prayerfully consider supporting this important ministry as we work together to build stronger communities and a more just and compassionate society. Thank you for your generosity!
