2026 St. Joseph Medal from the Archdiocese of Hartford
St. John Fisher Parish proudly announces that parishioner Jean Jacques has been named the recipient of the 2026 St. Joseph Medal from the Archdiocese of Hartford. Jean received the St. Joseph Medal from Archbishop Christopher Coyne on Sunday, March 15. St. Joseph Medal honors those who have gone above and beyond to serve their parish.
Jean has been a member of our parish for many years supporting in many ways. He is an active Usher, Knights of Columbus member, and a member of the Building and Maintenance Committee. Jean was instrumental in helping with moving the Tabernacle from the chapel to the altar. His beautiful wood work can be seen at the altar and around the chapel. This past year he built a beautiful crèche that was placed in front of the church. In the past, Jean has been responsible for the maintenance of the church and rectory and assisted in preparation and remediation of issues with the annual Archdiocese safety inspections. His dedication to our parish is exceptional and much appreciated!
