As our town, and many towns across Connecticut, celebrate the 250th anniversary of our independence throughout this year, we will also be offering an event that highlights what we do as Catholics and how our social teachings support and flow from the Declaration of Independence.
When: Sunday, August 30th from 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM
Where: Our Church Grounds – Weather Permitting
What: Travel through various hands-on stations and have a sweet cool treat as well
Who: All are invited – various stations may be enjoyed best by families with children aged 2-10
Come join us for this family friendly event with the chance to be together with friends, travel through the various stations and have fun celebrating – learn about and experience our Community Giving Garden, our Pollinator Garden, our Outdoor Prayer and Meditation area and create a beautiful patriotic Chalk-the-Walk.
Interested in how this all relates to the tenants of the Declaration of Independence? Come and find out and experience it all for yourself! It’s also a great opportunity for the children to connect with their friends as the new school year begins. This event is open to the whole town and is free – a donation of a non-perishable food item for the Marlborough Food Bank is suggested and welcomed.
