RECONCILIATION

Consider taking advantage of the Sacrament of Reconciliation this Lent.  This powerful sacrament allows us to return to a relationship with God as we relieve ourselves from the burden of sin.  Father LeBlanc will be hearing confessions during Lent on Monday evenings from 5-6 pm and Saturday afternoons from 3-3:30 pm weekly.

The Divine Mercy Novena of Chaplets
Third Day:

Today bring to Me ALL DEVOUT AND FAITHFUL SOULS, and immerse them in the ocean of My mercy. These souls brought Me consolation on the Way of the Cross. They were that drop of consolation in the midst of an ocean of bitterness. 

Most Merciful Jesus, from the treasury of Your mercy, You impart Your graces in great abundance to each and all. Receive us into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart and never let us escape from It. We beg this grace of You by that most wonderous love for the heavenly Father with which Your Heart burns so fiercely.

Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon faithful souls, as upon the inheritance of Your Son. For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, grant them Your blessing and surround them with Your constant protection. Thus may they never fail in love or lose the treasure of the holy faith, but rather, with all the hosts of Angels and Saints, may they glorify Your boundless mercy for endless ages.

🚘 Thank You From The Drive Thru Café

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Drive Thru Café for January, especially the cooks, bakers, and servers. Due to our amazing generosity all the recipients were provided with a delicious meal. The extra food was brought to Florence Lord Senior Housing, as well as, Marlborough residents who have been battling illness. Further, our bakers provided enough cookies that extra cookies were frozen to be used at a benefit event at the Congregational Church with whom we partner on this Outreach initiative.

Sunday, March 30 is our next meal which will consist of meatloaf.

Non-perishable food, personal care items and household cleaning supplies are now accepted weekly at any Mass. Bags may be placed to the right of the altar. If there is a specific need, we will mention it in the bulletin or check out the food bank directly at  https://foodbankofmarlborough.wordpress.com.

Mass Intentions

Mass 01

Did you realize . . . One of the greatest traditions we have within the Catholic faith is having a Mass said for a loved one whether they are living or deceased.  By doing this, we are offering Christ himself for the intention we indicate.  Considering that the Mass is the highest form of communal prayer,  offering a Mass up for a loved one is a beautiful expression of faith.  Masses can also be said as an expression of gratitude, to celebrate a special occasion such as a birthday or as we are reminded by the Council of Trent: "for the living and the dead, for sins, punishments, satisfactions, and other necessities."

As St. Leonoard of Maurice reminds us:  Let us be diligent in hearing Mass as often as possible, and with all possible devotion; and furthermore, let us endeavor to have as many Masses as possible celebrated for our intention.   Mass intentions can be scheduled by contacting the St. John Fisher office at 860-295-0001.  Intentions can be offered for both weekly and weekend Masses for both the living and deceased with a  suggested donation of  $10.00 for a weekly Mass and $20.00 for a weekend Mass.  

Reflection:

Matthew 11:29-30 ~ Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.
