Weekend of May 18-19 and May 25-26
Purpose: As we offer SJF parishioners opportunities to demonstrate our Catholic faith, we will provide a fact sheet on the various organizations to build awareness for what they do, their value added, the opportunities for involvement and how it relates to what we are called to do as Catholics.

Why we like this organization: As Catholics, we value life, support pro-life efforts and the dignity of all life. While doing so, we also need to support those who make the decision to preserve life and bring life into the world. In addition, modeling grace, acceptance and compassion for women who have made decisions that require healing from past pregnancies. CaringFamilies focuses on empowering individuals to make informed decisions in life by supporting women and men with spiritual, emotional, educational and material support as they seek help with pregnancy related issues.
What is CaringFamilies focus:
- Comprehensive support to moms and dads making the decision to bring their baby’s life into the world
- Help, hope and healing to women of CT faced with unplanned pregnancy
- Pregnancy testing, ultrasounds and education on options other than abortion
- Parenting, mentoring, fatherhood classes and material support for babies
Hearts Set Free is a healing and support program dealing with past abortion, miscarriage or sexual abuse
Current Outreach Initiative: During the month of May, we are hosting a Baby Shower supporting the needs of babies whose parents are receiving services from CaringFamilies Pregnancy Services, Inc. through their Babies Boutique.
These baby items will be collected the weekends of May 18/19 and May 25/26 in our church vestibule.
