Cantor Needed

Our music ministry is in need of a cantor to sing at Saturday Masses. Leading our congregation in song is a wonderful way to use your musical gift. No experience is necessary, the time commitment is minimal and flexible schedules can be arranged. Please see Janice Reska if you are interested.

SCAMAn email or set of emails have been sent using Father's name in the “From:" field of the email. If the email requests you send money via gift card(s) or other non-traditional forms of payment, don't do it! This is common SCAM sent to you in anticipation of fooling you out of your hard earned money. This form of SCAM is not unusual and there is very little you can do to prevent it.

Anyone receiving an email should be aware of how to check the origin of that email, be able to ascertain if it’s a legitimate request and follow-up with an inquiry if even the least bit suspicious. If you hover your cursor over the “To:" address in any email, you can usually see the actual email address that the message was sent from. You’ll see that the SCAM email is not from Father George. If Father George needs something from you, he will contact you directly and only use email by prior arrangement.

Do NOT click on any links. If you respond to the email to vent your anger and or frustration, YOURemail address will be added to the SCAMMERs collection to be used in future email SCAM compaigns. Delete the email message.

St. John Fisher Parish Vision:

We are a beacon of God’s gracious and merciful love as we glorify His name through service to others; devotion to His teachings and His Son Jesus; and by maintaining a welcoming, accepting and embracing Catholic community of faith that judges none, embraces and protects the vulnerable, builds community of all ages and life stages and acts for the greater Glory of God.

St. John Fisher Parish Mission:

We provide an open, welcoming and active Catholic faith community that is inspired by the gifts of the Holy Spirit as we demonstrate our faith by (1) actively participating in Mass and the Sacraments, (2) by serving and ministering to others, (3) by exploring and sharing the Word and teachings of Jesus and (4) by openly embracing the various needs of our entire parish family and broader community in Christ.
