SJF Parish Outreach Opportunity
Drive-Thru Café ~ Afternoon Main Meal
Marlborough Congregational Church
Sunday, February 25th
SIGN-UP SHEET AT CHURCH EXITS
The St. John Fisher Parish community will again assist The Marlborough Congregational Church with its monthly Drive-Thru Café that provides dinners to patrons of the Food Bank of Marlborough and residents at Florence Lord Housing. This is our first of 3 commitments for the year.
Especially during these trying times, we are mindful of Jesus’ call to help our neighbors in need, and we hope our fellow parishioners will join us. On Sunday, February 25th, we will be providing and serving 50 meals and 10 dozen cookies. This month’s dinner is pasta with meat sauce, frozen green beans, a loaf of Italian bread and cookies.
Needed to assist in this event:
- 10 meals to serve 5 (50 meals)~ pasta with meat sauce, 1 bag (16oz) of frozen green beans and 1 loaf of Italian bread. Meals dropped off at 12:00 noon at the Congregational Church.
- 5 servers to be at the Congregational Church from 12:00-2:00pm.Dinners are distributed from 1-1:30pm.
- 2 Cookie Monsters- each makes 50 cookies, bagged two per baggie.
This is a wonderful Lenten opportunity for individuals, couples and/or families to serve our neighbors in Christ and partner with your SJF parish family. If you need community service hours, this project counts. There are sign-up sheets at both church exits. Whether you can cook or bake or serve, or all 3, please sign up. Many thanks.
