Drive-Up Café ~ Evening Meal Marlborough Congregational Church
January 27, 2019
SIGN-UP SHEET AT CHURCH EXITS
The Marlborough Congregational Church sponsors a monthly Drive-Up Café that provides dinners to patrons of the Food Bank of Marlborough and residents at Florence Lord Housing. This year, St. John Fisher’s Christian Outreach Committee will lend support by running the café in January and March. It is a rewarding and fun service opportunity, and we hope some parishioners will help in serving our neighbors. On Sunday, January 27, we will be providing the meal and are looking for cooks, servers and bakers. This month’s dinner is meatloaf, mashed potatoes, broccoli and dinner rolls.
Needed to assist in this event:
10 meals to serve 6 (60 meals) ~ baked meatloaf, mashed potatoes, 1 pound bag of frozen broccoli florets, 1 small jar of beef gravy, and 12 dinner rolls.
2 bakers to each make 5 dozen cookies, bagged two per baggie.
Please deliver prepared food to the Congregational Church between 4:15 and 4:30pm on 1/27/19.
9 servers to be at the Congregational Church from 4:15 PM to 6:00 PM. Dinners are distributed from 5-5:30. Then servers break bread together and enjoy the same meal as a community.
This is a great opportunity for individuals, couples, or families to serve the community with your parish family. If you need community service hours, this project counts.
