2020 Womans ConferenceWednesdays With Women

The experience of the Women's Conference will take place in an extended virtual format, running from November 2020 to May 2021 (when registration will open for the 2021 conference). Instead of a full-day event, a chance to "attend" a workshop and prayer experience will be available monthly. These virtual events will take place on the first Wednesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. The evening will be a little taste of the Women's Conference experience: a workshop followed by a unique prayer experience.

Enders Islandwith Rev. Thomas Lynch & Barbara Marconda, Wednesday, October 28th, 2020

At some point, all of us will be faced with suffering. How can we deal with the challenges that we are confronted with as we walk this path of suffering together? Father Thomas Lynch and Barbara Marconda lead this session in which they'll explore what this "path of suffering" entails and how the way in which we choose to walk it can radically change the experience.

candyThe Confirmation class will once again be collecting leftover Halloween candy this year. All candy may be left in the baskets at the church entrances after October 31st

As we prepare for Halloween next weekend, let us also take a moment to remember the difference between All Saints’ Day, a Holy Day of Obligation, and All Souls’ Day.  On All Saints’ Day we celebrate the communion of saints, both those known and unknown, in heaven and are reminded of our call to live as saints. This is a wonderful time to pray to your patron saint. This year All Saints’ Day falls on a Sunday, so the day will be celebrated as part of our normal Sunday liturgy.  All Souls’ Day is a reminder for us to hold close in prayer those souls in purgatory and to pray for all those who have died.

Father Sas 02Be sure to thank Father Sas this month for National Clergy Appreciation Month!

We are truly blessed to have such a holy man leading us in our faith journey.

world mission sundayWorld Mission Sunday is the annual worldwide Eucharistic celebration for the Missions and Missionaries of the world. Pope Francis reminds us, especially in this year of crisis, that as Baptized Catholics we are called to mission to bring Christ’s love to those most forgotten, our brothers and sisters in need around the world. Please Pray and Give if you are able

Civilize It is a program created in the fall of 2019 in an effort to provide guidelines for engaging in meaningful and respectful conversation.  According to the USCCB website:

“The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (UFCCB) has launched a campaign inviting Catholics to model civility and love for neighbor throughout the year. Civilize It: Dignity Beyond the Debate will ask Catholics to pledge civility, clarity, and compassion in their families, communities and parishes, and call on others to do so as well.
