September 17th is the memorial for St. Hildegard of Bingen, one of four women doctors of the church. A Benedictine nun, St. Hildegard was a renaissance woman who was and artist, poet, abbess, theologian, composer, mystic and pharmacist who had incredible visions and used all her gifts and talents as a witness to God. How can you use your gifts and talents this week to be a witness to your faith?
"Glance at the sun. See the moon and the stars.
Gaze at the beauty of earth’s greenings.
What delight God gives to humankind
with all these things. . . .
All nature is at the disposal of humankind.”
--Hildegard of Bingen
