Last week we celebrated the end of the Easer season with Pentecost where the gifts of the Holy Spirit fortified the apostles to go out and spread the gospel. These same gifts fortify us to go out into the world today and spread God’s light. Each week we will focus on a different gift and provide you conversation starters or activities for you and your family to share at home. These are amazing gifts – let’s be sure we open them up and utilize them to grow closer to God by becoming the person he created us to be!
The gift of Wisdom allows us to see things and people as God sees them. When we view things as God sees them, it is easier to see how blessed we are even during difficult times. Maybe you have had a disagreement with a friend or are nervous about a presentation at school or taking the next steps after graduation. Wisdom allows us to look at things as God would look at things. Remember - God sees all of us as his children with unique gifts that are necessary to fulfill our unique mission.
Think about: Who do you consider to be wise?
How do you gain wisdom?
When do you use wisdom?
What is one special gift you have? Make a list as a family and each week have everyone add on special gift.
