Anyone involved in parish work that comes in contact with youth must be Virtus trained.  While three hours of training may seem like a significant amount of time, this training is conducted to help ensure the safety of both adults and children. Please contact the Parish office for further details. We are lucky to have Dr. Jon Sozek from St. Isidore and Maria in Glastonbury as our instructor.

Please mark your calendar to reserve Monday, July 1st and invite any members of your ministry to participate

Many thanks and God Bless,

July 19th - July 21st, 2019

Construction 02We are thrilled this summer to be partnering with the youth and adults of the Marlborough Congregational Church by participating in a combined Marlborough Summer Service weekend in July. Teams of youth (grade 5 through college students home for the summer) will be paired with adult site leaders to work on various projects within our community. The focus is to provide help for those in need such as the veterans and veteran's families, those dealing with a disability, low income or the elderly. If you or someone you know is in need of such support (yard work, cleaning out and organizing, painting, window washing, simple house maintenance, etc) please get in touch with Father Sas or Barbara Meyer at the Parish Office

Mass cards are available at the Parish Office.

Mass Card A Healing Prayer

Next week, June 29 & 30, we will take up the Peter's Pence Collection which provides Pope Frances with the funds he needs to carry out his charitable works around the world. The proceeds benefit our brothers and sisters on the margins of society, including victims of war, oppression, and natural disasters. Please be generous. For more information,
visit www.usccb.org/peters-pence.

(We know some of you have already given to this collection, as the dates on the envelopes were printed incorrectly. If you have, thank you for your generosity.)

HeartNoteThere will be plenty of good singing and playing opportunities this year. We’ve expanded our knowledge into more contemporary Christian music and as ever, we aren’t going to shy away from secular songs to sweeten our musical skills.femalesinger

Come join us as we explore music, have a load of fun, all while learning new skills and techniques

Whether your instrument is your voice, a guitar or piano, drums or harmonica, come along and join in the enjoyment of making music with friends.

Flip Flops 1

In an effort to help kids (and adults) in Hartford have a great summer, some of our high school parishioners are collecting new flip flops. We are collecting all sizes for kids and adults, males and females. Flip flops will be collected during the month of June for Ädelbrook, the Catholic Worker House, and South Park Inn. Donations can be placed in the bins located at the entrances in the church. These groups need flip flops in order to enjoy activities such at water parks this summer. Thank you!

The Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette will preach the annual parish mission appeal.

Having brought the fullness of Life to our world when He rose from the dead, Jesus sent his disciples to share this life with all of creation. “They went forth and preached everywhere” (Mk 16:20). The Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette minister to people of every race, language, culture and way of life, beginning at the La Salette Shrine in France where our Blessed Mother appeared in 1846.
