WolfPackLooking for a great family Christmas gift?  Come join fellow parishioners as we cheer the Wolfpack on to victory on Saturday, January 4th! Tickets are on sale for $15.00 each and can be purchased by using the form located at the entrances to the church. Teen discounts and rides available.

Tuesday, December 17th at 7:00pm, there will be a prayer walk, where you will have the opportunity to reflect on the journey of Mary and Joseph and how it relates to our individual faith journey during this time of joyful preparation and anticipation.

Tuesday, December 10th at 7:00pm Father Sas will be guiding us through sacred scripture with a presentation on the infancy narratives. How many years have you listened to these beautiful passages without really appreciating the differences in Matthew and Luke’s gospels? Give yourself the gift of peace that comes when we spend time with our Lord through scripture.

Let us take a moment at the beginning of this season of hope and Thanksgiving to reflect upon the recent homily of Father Sas, imploring us to honor the sacrifice Christ made for each of us. We can do this by living our call to be missionary disciples and live our faith boldly and actively. Let us approach this holiday season with a willingness to transform our heart and soul by sharing the Good News with the world around us through our actions.

St John Fisher is going to the wolves . . . the Wolf Pack that is! Join us as we go to the January 4th Wolf Pack Game! Tickets are $15.00 each. Order forms are available at the entrances of the church and on the parish website. All orders must be received by December 20th. Come join fellow parishioners as we cheer the Pack onto victory!!

Children'sChoir

Have you ever heard that to sing is to pray twice? If you love to sing, you are in good company. As a member of the St. John Fisher family you are provided many opportunities to sing and offer double praise to our God. Whether from the pews or with any of the musical ensembles, you are technically praying twice when you sing during Mass.

Do your children like to sing? Well, the St. John Fisher children’s choir or “Genesis Choir” would love to encourage your child’s love of God and music. It meets every Monday from 5:00-5:45 pm at the church (except on school holidays) in the fall and spring to prepare for our Christmas and Easter Masses. I would like to extend another invitation to the youth of this parish to join this year’s Christmas choir and experience the joy of singing in praise of our God. Children from kindergarten through high school are welcome this year. No experience necessary, just come ready to sing!

Parents and siblings are welcome to stay and enjoy our rehearsals. The songs we are learning are simple, yet beautiful, and I try to make it as easy as possible to learn with the help of online videos for supplemental practice at home. I hope your child will be able to join me, Janice Reska (pianist) and Alicia Tardiff (flutist), our talented accompanying musicians, for our next rehearsal on Monday, November 18th. Please contact me at (860) 304-6376 to sign up, or just show up on Monday!

God Bless,
