The 7 Habits"Being a teenager is both wonderful and challenging. In The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, author Sean Covey applies the timeless principles of the 7 Habits to teens and the tough issues and life-changing decisions they face.

In an entertaining style, Covey provides a step-by-step guide to help teens improve self-image, build friendships, resist peer pressure, achieve their goals, get along with their parents, and much more.

In addition, this book is stuffed with cartoons, clever ideas, great quotes, and incredible stories about real teens from all over the world. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens will engage teenagers unlike any other book."

rockathonCome rock the night away with your friends and raise money for the St. John Fisher Youth Group. On Saturday, February 20th, all St. John Fisher high schoolers are invited to join us after the 4:00 mass for an extended teen night. From 5:00-6:00 we will enjoy pizza and some games and then starting at six we will “rock” until midnight. We will play games, watch movies, have activities and there will even be special guests to support us as we rock the night away.  Stay for a couple of hours or stay for the entire evening – either way we would love to have you. Everyone is welcome to join us, but please rsvp to This email address is being protected from spambots. Any parishioners wishing to support our teens may drop off a snack at the church on February 20th or make a donation to one of the “rockers!”  Also, please let us know if you have a rocking chair that we might be able to borrow for the evening.

The date for the next Teen night is December 12th and we will go until 9:00pm as we will be watching a Christmas movie.

Our parish youth "earned" decorating supplies by answering trivia questions correctly and then worked in teams to decorate their pumpkins.  Although not everyone is pictured, most of the group is included.

"Alright everyone, get your foreheads ready because Lent is coming! ‘Tis the season of ashes, sacrifices, singing anything but “Alleluia,” and the color purple. You can usually tell because all of the Catholic websites and media sources in the galaxy (including us here at Life Teen) are posting blogs about what to give up for Lent."
