St. John Fisher Roman Catholic Church

30 Jones Hollow Road, Marlborough, CT 06447

This ministry primarily addresses the faith formation of our children and youth, while also providing regular spiritual programming for adults. We are blessed with wonderful families and catechists that make this a rich and dynamic program.  In these pages you will find information regarding our focus and mission across all grade levels, as well as class calendars, downloadable forms, upcoming events, and much more!

The program is composed of the following:

If you have any questions or concerns that cannot be answered in these pages, please do not hesitate to contact the parish for more information.

silhouette ill do itFaith Formation Registration is being wrapped-up. Except for one class, all volunteer catechist positions are filled. We need a volunteer catechist to teach 6th grade. This class had 2 wonderful teen volunteers for many years, however these girls have graduated and are now at UCONN. Unfortunately, we've had no luck in finding replacements for them so far. Please let me know if any of you are interested in teaching OR if you have a teenager interested in teaching OR if you know someone who may want to teach.

This year we have been blessed to have most teachers return. Also we are lucky to have a new parent to teach first grade. We recruited 2 former parents, who no longer have students in MES, to return as volunteer catechists to teach 1st and 3rd so there is a lot to be thankful for!

FaithFairCome join our parish in a celebration of all that our Faith Formation students have learned this year.

Sunday, April 8th in the St. John Fisher Thomas More Hall immediately following our 10:30 Mass

Students work from each Faith Formation classroom (Grade 1 - 6) will proudly be on display!

Coffee, juice and refreshments will be served. In fair fashion, there will be free popcorn, face painting, and even a carnival game and prizes!

We are strengthened as a family, and as a parish community when our children hear the Word of God and worship together. Our1st grade Faith Formation class will be participating in the Celebration of the Eucharist on Sunday, April 8th at the 10:30am Mass. The Faith Fair, with coffee and treats provided by our first grade class, will follow Mass.

CoffeeMuffinCome join the 4th grade Faith Formation Class for coffee, a bite to eat and fellowship immediately following the 10:30 Mass on Sunday January 21st.

All are welcome!

Many thanks to everyone who donated items for the Confirmation retreat dinner on Saturday, September 16th.
Thanks to your generosity the 10th grade class enjoyed a wonderful taco dinner. Special thanks to the Teen Emmaus team for creating a beautiful space for the 10th grade to gather for their retreat.
We greatly appreciate the support of the parish as these young men and women take the final steps toward Confirmation.

A huge thank you to all the families, children and volunteers who  made  our St. John Fisher Bible Camp a big success! Our parish is blessed  to have such a wonderful, devoted group of teens who made every day fun: Tylor, Lea, Denise, Aiden, Jacob, Rosie, Teresa, Jenna, Caroline, Ellie, Marybeth & Shannon.

Also, thanks to Jonathan and David for their musical support and the Dursin, Farrington, Visco and Meyer families for all their help!

VBC 2017Your child will travel “across the USA” to enter a world of amazing adventures! National Parks will be this year’s theme for Vacation Bible camp and I hope many of the children join us on this spectacular adventure right here at St John Fisher Church!

This will be an opportunity for kids to explore not only the incredible sights of our own country, but also a way to discover a living spiritual relationship with Jesus!

The camp will run August 7-10th at SJF Hall and grounds. Registration forms are available at church exits and by clicking here!
