Our Lenten Collection for the upcoming week of 3/26-4/2 is

SHAMPOO

Please place items in the baskets that are located at both doors.

“Peace be with you!” With these words, the Risen Lord greeted frightened Apostles in the Upper Room on the day of his resurrection. Christ repeated the words, “peace ne with you.” Then added, “Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them.” (Jn 20:19-23).

What an extraordinary gift – the gift of divine forgiveness! This year, prepare for Easter by receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation. During Lent, ever Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Hartford will be open Mondays from 6-7pm of Lenten Confessions.

For more information, visit: Light4you.info

Father Sas will once again host a Small Christian Community scripture reflection group on Tuesdays from 9-10 am during Lent.

Give yourself the gift of spending time with sacred scripture as we discuss, reflect and pray on the Gospel readings. We will continue to use the Quest publication as our guide on this journey. If you have never studied scripture, come explore the Holy Word. If you have taken years of theology classes, come and discover something new. All are welcome and encouraged to come.

IMG 0798My sincere thanks to all those individuals who helped make our Christmas Liturgies such holy and meaningful experiences for the parish: The Worship Choir, Children’s Christmas Choir, Musicians, Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, and Greeters. Your participation reflected many blessings and gifts from God, and I thank you for sharing those gifts with your parish family.

Thank you also to the Decorating Committee for their beautiful work this season and to the Men’s Prayer Group for putting up our outside decorations.

Lastly, many thanks to all the ministries and parishioners who worked so hard on our Advent programs and activities. We enjoyed a wonderful Advent season together as a parish family!

With gratitude,
Father Sas
