“…the doors are opened wide for you to enter the Church”.
On Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the 4:00 PM mass, the entire St. John Fisher Parish will have the great honor of recommending our RCIA candidate, Kelly Granatek, to Archbishop Leonard Blair in a special ceremony, Rite of Sending. This celebration marks the beginning of her entry into the final phase of the RCIA process. The Rite of Sending is a public celebration lauding our candidate’s progression towards full communion with the Church and the candidates public affirmation to continue on her journey.
The following day, February 14, 2016, Kelly will be formally recommended to and received by Archbishop Blair during the Archdiocesan-wide Rite of Election services at the Cathedral of St. Joseph, in Hartford. We offer congratulations to KELLY upon her successful completion of her preparatory catechetical studies leading her to a fuller understanding and acceptance of the doctrines and principles of our Catholic Faith. We are blessed and honored with the responsibility for nurturing her throughout her “Journey of Faith.” Please keep Kelly, her sponsor and family in your prayers as they proceed through the next phase of RCIA, “Purification and Enlightenment.” Kelly’s preparation will culminate in her receipt of the Sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Confirmation during the Easter Vigil (Holy Saturday) mass on March 26, 2016.
I offer my sincere thanks to all who have welcomed Kelly into on parish family and ask that everyone avails themself of the opportunity to introduce yourself to her and offer up prayers on her behalf. Thank you.
