The St. George Emblem has been presented to parishoner Todd Gianetti. Todd is an assistant Scoutmaster in the Marlborough Boy Scout Troop 39.
The National Catholic Committee on Scouting, acting through the local diocese, awards the St. George Emblem to members of the laity and clergy, Scouters and non-Scouters alike, who have made significant and outstanding contributions to the spiritual development of Catholic youth in Scouting.
The award was presented to four individuals from the Connecticut Rivers Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Hockanum River District. The Hockanum River District delivers Scouting programs to nearly 3000 youth and over 1000 adults The awards ceremony took place at St. Francis of Assisi in South Windsor with a Mass at 11:15. A brunch was prepared by the Knights of Columbus where the medals were presented.
